Rama The Ninth

A star brightened the night,
For it shimmered every night,
Giving light and answering plight,
Until one day they lost the sight.
So did world called it light,

So bright and said it right.
I still see that star just now,
For it has people’s bow;
That day, hearts sank low;
As that bright one sowed,
The hope, the kind they owe.

That day like today, a storm;
hit the sky, darkness formed,
365 days of mourn did tame,
That star clear and not lame;
Still they see as the same;
In their hearts, it still has fame.

May Rama the Ninth, the true Bodhisattva, for his people be born again.
This day occupies great space in the history as it shall each year be proudest moment for all Thais for having had a great being like His Majesty.
